The launch event will also feature a special guest appearance by Glenn Seton, who will be driving the GSR5 – an EF model Falcon that he drove to victory in the 1995 Triple Challenge at Eastern Creek.
The GSR5 holds a special place in racing history. It made its debut as an EB model at the 1994 Bathurst 1000, where Glenn Seton secured pole position and was joined by Paul Radisich as his co-driver. The car's success continued in 1995, as it raced as GSR's #35 entry at various events, including Bathurst, where Alan Jones and Allan Grice finished second. Only three of the six Falcons that raced in Glenn Seton's colors remain in existence, with the 1993 championship winner and Glenn Seton's own 1995 Bathurst car undergoing long-term restoration. The GSR5 will be part of a historic car display in the Ipswich paddock, alongside a Group C era Porsche 962C and Simtek Formula 1 car, both owned by Tony Quinn. The circuit owner plans to showcase the Porsche on track during Saturday's proceedings, adding to the excitement of the event.
